Chicken pox is one of the most dreadful diseases which claim most of the lives. Though it has been successfully eradicated from its dreadfulness it is not completely eradicated from India. Let us here discuss about the topic us preventing chicken pox. Both Chickenpox and herpes zoster are caused by the same organism Vercelli zoster with unique mechanism of infection for both the diseases.

Chickenpox is an airborne disease which acquires victims by traveling through air. The disease is so deadly that very few non-immunized people escape infection. Best method of preventing Chickenpox is by vaccination. A combined product together called MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) along with Varicella vaccine can be given as a childhood vaccine. A new revised vaccine schedule put forth by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Advisory Committee.

Vaccines are available in the market which has to be given at 5 months of age or it has to be given at the age of 13 at least for helping our children from chicken pox. It is the method in which dead cells of the virus are injected artificially inside the human body to boost up the immune system inside and make it ready for the attack against the chicken pox. This is the only method for the prevention of the chicken pox. This chicken pox is different from measles and small pox. It is more contagious than the other types. Thus proper medicines and vaccines are to be used up by the public which are given free by the government to eradicate and preventing chicken pox.
